Maggie Fraser

Book Maggie Fraser

Maggie Fraser tells stories from childhood – favourites from Hans Christian Andersen and the Brothers Grimm, as well as traditional Scottish stories, Traveller tales and stories from other parts of the world. She particularly enjoys telling wonder tales. Maggie enjoys telling to and working with all age groups.

Born in Dundee, Maggie’s parents spent 10 years in India and some of her earliest story memories are Rudyard Kipling’s Mowgli stories from her father. Her father’s work also took the family to Buenos Aires and Sao Paolo, but Maggie returned to Scotland at 16.

Maggie has told stories in homes and resource centres for the elderly, day centres for adults with special needs, local schools and festivals, as well as venues such as Castles Fraser and Drum, Aberdeenshire. For the last 15 years Maggie has been living at a 5-acre farm near Stonehaven with her husband and 4 children, growing organic produce.
