Martin MacIntyre’s stories include Ossianic wonder tales, stories based on the historical traditions of the Scottish Highlands, and real-life stories of a contemporary nature. He also writes and tells his own stories.
A medical doctor, writer and actor, Martin has always respected the power of oral narrative to forge stronger connections between people and to achieve artistic and therapeutic results.
Martin is happy to tell stories to younger, older and mixed audiences with his flexible, varied repertoire able accommodate all tastes. Martin is fluent in English and Gaelic and is also a traditional Gaelic singer. He sees storytelling as an integral component of the holistic ceilidh which should naturally include stories, song, music and poetry, and to which everyone can contribute.
