As part of Dance Base‘s ongoing free Catalyst workshops and discussion groups, for anyone working in dance, members of the Dance Base team will deliver a number of bespoke funding sessions, focusing on applying to Creative Scotland’s Open Fund.

These are aimed at dance artists who wish to apply for support from Creative Scotland for a specific project. This could include: research, development, creation, touring and professional development etc. These sessions will span a number of meetings and conversations, which will include:

– An initial conversation with Dance Base’s Chief Executive to discuss the project and provide advice on different funding options
– A meeting to go through a draft application, where constructive feedback will be provided. As a result of these meetings actions will agreed by both Dance Base (including members of the Catalyst team) and artists
– A final review meeting and support in submitting the application
There will be up to six slots across September to January.

Sessions will be on a first come, first served basis.

Bookings will open on Monday 24 July at 10.00, to book please email helen@dancebase.co.uk, with a brief outline of your project, including timelines and ideal submission deadlines, highlighting which time period would best suit you (Sept – Oct or Nov – Jan).  If there is a demand, we are able to travel to different locations throughout Scotland.  Please indicate your preferred location in your e mail.
