One of the most successful actions against Nazi Germany’s extermination
of Jewish people took place in Denmark in October 1943. More than 7000
Danish Jews were sailed to safety in Sweden – hidden in fishing boats
and small ships. As a result, 98.5% of the Danish Jews survived World
War II. With life-affirming Jewish music, Klezmerduo tells the story of
Danish Jews, on their escape to Sweden, and the story of the many Danes,
who had the will and courage to help their fellow citizens, in the hour
of greatest danger. With Ann-Mai-Britt Fjord and Henrik Bredholt.
