Mary Shelley’s The Mortal Immortal follows a man’s recounting his work as a young apprentice to an alchemist trying to create the
elixir of life.
Edgar Allan Poe’s The Tell-Tale Heart, is a chilling account of a woman’s descent into paranoid madness, which drives her down
into the darkest parts of the human soul.
