Explore the close historical and cultural connections between Canada and Scotland, and their continuing legacy. Chief RoseAnne Archibald is a First Nation activist and educator with family ties to Scotland. Donald Smith reflects on the sometimes-troubled relationship between Scots and First Nation peoples through the novels ‘River Thieves’ by Michael Crummey and ‘Sick Heart River’ by John Buchan.
