This is a very simple, scary tale for younger children or children with additional support needs, with plenty of interaction and repetitions to keep the listeners engaged.
Contributed by Ailie Finlay, who also shares some tips on how to make props and customise the tale within the download, plus a few follow up activities for the children, as she explains:
‘I have adapted this story from the old Scottish tale, The Sprightly Tailor (Scottish Folk and Fairy Tales, Penguin).
‘I wanted to create a version that would be suitable to tell to people with additional needs, in particular those with a visual impairment. In days gone by tailors would often travel from house to house making clothes as they went.’
