Diana Peers

Book Diana Peers

Diana Peers tells traditional and modern tales from Scotland and around the world. Her sources are many and varied, including myths and legends, fables, animal tales and modern favourites.

Her approach to storytelling is interactive to engage and stimulate her audiences. To complement her voice, percussion, song and music can be used to great effect highlighting feelings, mood, atmosphere, daring adventure, journey, weather, etc. and lots of fun can be had with sounds and props. Diana is very flexible, tailoring her approach to what is most appropriate for the group or event that she is attending, seeking to involve her audience in the story, generating imaginative ideas and sharing the adventures and happenings along the way. Her aim is to create a vibrant atmosphere that can be magical, enchanting, haunting and inspiring.

Diana’s areas of focus are children’s groups of all ages, special needs groups with both children and adults, who she has a lot of experience with, as well as storytelling for adult groups and the elderly. She is always ready to explore new areas for those looking for something different and enjoys the challenge of researching and preparing suitable material for specific projects.  Diana has collaborated with schools and libraries for events including World Book Day and author days.

Diana has been entertaining using music, rhythm, song and story since 2001 through her business Once upon a tune, and storytelling since 2007. She views story as very much alive, a living breathing thing to be cherished and shared.
