Scot AnSgeulaiche

Book Scot AnSgeulaiche

Scot AnSgeulaiche is a passionate keeper and teller of the oral Gaidhlig literature and history. His stories come from Scotland’s West Coast and ancient Ireland: folk, clan and Norse tales; historical and place tales.

He is Seanachaidh to chief Sir Lachlan Maclean of Duart and his gatherings are thus similar to times when the Clan Seanachaidh brought people together to hear the tales of their ancestors set to harp.

Scot has hosted workshops for adults, corporations, charities and the MOD on storytelling uses in their respective environments and to that end retains a stock of tales traditionally used for counselling and healing. He has supported primary and secondary school curriculum topics across the Highlands through Tales and led community history projects.
