Book Tony Bonning
Tony Bonning’s repertoire includes traditional tales with an energetic spin, as well as original stories by himself and others.
His work as a writer of children’s books influences his choice of stories and he loves spontaneous language, sometimes incorporating puppets, rhymes and poetry into his session. He also has a deep interest in world myth, legend and folklore.
Tony’s storytelling is largely undertaken for nursery and primary age children but he is also adept at working with teenagers and adults. He runs three weekly music and storytelling groups for children, and with six kids of his own, has plenty of opportunities to practice and develop his repertoire. Born in the village of Crosshill in Carrick in the Galloway Hills, Tony studied engineering before becoming a freelance journalist.
