Celtic Connections: The Glad Community Choir Sing Bowie+ Honey & the Herbs at Celtic Connections

Entering their 5th year, The Glad Community Choir (based in the treasured Glad Cafe in Shawlands) have a membership of over 70 singers and have loaned their talents to a range of recordings by SAY Award winners Bill Wells & Aiden Moffat, Welsh singer/songwriter Meilyr Jones and Scottish ‘post-electro’ maestros Errors. This event will see the choir perform the legendary hits of the incomparable David Bowie.

Honey and the Herbs are Glasgow’s exclusive Tropical Barbershop Prog advocates and all happen to be members of the Glad Community Choir! They have been writing and performing since 2009. They released their debut album ‘Gloaming’ this summer which prompted Duglas T Stewart of Glasgow legends BMX Bandits to gush “Gloaming is full of glorious melodies, really fabulous harmony arrangements and singing, unexpected twists and turns and great playing.”
