The Ceilidh Trail is an initiative which provides young people playing traditional music aged 16 – 25 with the opportunity to learn aboutlife as a professional touring artist. The Ceilidh Trail takes high quality traditional music to places where visitors will be in the peak summer months and is a successful cultural tourism initiative.
The initiative takes place across the country with numerous Ceilidh Trails now happening, with the best young players auditioning totake part. Tonight we are delighted to bring together two groups… The longest running and best known, the National Fèis Rois Ceilidh Trail alongside our own local Fèis Fhoirt Ceilidh Trail… Each group of outstanding young players will perform a set each.
Earlier in the day the groups will be performing at Stirling Castle. Don’t miss a fantastic night of lively reels and jigs and beautifully crafted Scots songs.
