Hot of the huge success of their Celtic Connections headline appearance performing to nearly 3000 fans at a sold-out Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, Skipinnish are riding high on a wave of excitement and popularity.
They are no strangers to the Outer Hebrides having built a solid reputation over 15 years as a West Coast musical powerhouse, yet their current material is turning more heads than ever before. Since their last HebCelt appearance, in 2012, the band won the MG Alba Scots Trad Live Act of the Year in Inverness in 2014 and have seen three singles hit number 1 in the iTunes World Music Charts – the latest of which, The Island, reached number 46 in the Official UK Download Charts.
Expect exhilarating tune sets on accordion and pipes, as well as powerful songs, and a surprise guest or two as they get An Lanntair going wild.
