New Monthly Step Dancing Classes

New Monthly Step Dancing Classes

It’s one of Scotland’s most traditional forms of dancing that continues to have a strong tradition in Cape Breton where Scottish emigrant communities settled, and is often accompanied by lively songs on the fiddle, pipes or voice. Now Inverness fèis is hoping to help revive interest in step-dancing in Scotland with a new series of classes.

The monthly classes, hosted by Fèis a’ Bhaile, will be open to all children and adults, regardless of previous experience of dancing.

Leading the classes will be Caroline Reagh – one of step-dancing trio Dannsa – who has a wealth of experience in delivering classes around Scotland.

The next of class will take place on Saturday 4th June and will continue monthly.

The cost per session will be £8 for adults and £5 for children. Teas, coffees and juice will also be available at the session.
