Christmas Gifts at the Scottish Storytelling Centre

Still needing to pick up a few Christmas presents and stocking fillers? Then come along to the Scottish Storytelling Centre this Saturday, 14th December, between 11am-4pm for our Christmas Fair where there will be a wide range of stalls from specially selected Scottish craft makers.

In the warmth of the Storytelling Court you will find handmade jewellery and accessories, original art, winter woollies, mosaic glass, felt fairies, merino scarves, hand-crafted bags and even items made from upcycled Vinyl records. And, if things get all too much, there will be the opportunity to have an Indian head massage and shiatsu (a traditional hands-on Japanese healing art) to keep you calm and relaxed during your shopping.

The Café will also be open if you need a wee rest to take stock of what you’ve bought. On the menu there are hot drinks, freshly made cakes and sweet treats, as well as hot and cold lunch options to keep you going throughout the day.

Our Christmas Fair is a great place to find unique gifts for all all ages and you will also be supporting small Scottish businesses.

We have children’s storybooks, novels and folktales, storytelling resources, books about Edinburgh and a history section focusing on John Knox and Mary, Queen of Scots.

Our stock is personally chosen by us to ensure that you pick up a good story, and many of the books are only available through the Centre, so we offer something a wee bit different to other bookshops.

Pop in anytime from 10am-6pm, Monday to Saturday to find the perfect story to give this Christmas.
