Dance Base Spring 2016 Showcase: Call for Submissions
Artists working in choreography and movement are invited to submit a proposal for a 10-15 minute work in progress to be performed as part of Dance Base’s Spring 2016 Showcase on Saturday 23rd January at 20.00. The evening is curated by Rosanna Irvine. The showcase is designed to allow artists an opportunity to try out a new idea in front of an audience and to enter discussion about their work.
Works that stretch and challenge the forms and conventions of choreography and dance are particularly welcome. Two or three artists (or groups) will be selected to perform as part of the final showcase, which will include the informal result of Dance Base’s COSMIC SCULPTURES – moving towards the ecstatic residency with Lucy Suggate.
Artists will be provided with a fee of £100 and offered rehearsal space at Dance Base in Edinburgh in the run up to the performance.

To apply please send the following information to Rosanna Irvine at rosanna.irvine@gmail.com by Saturday 9th January at 17.00.
* A proposal summary including simple technical requirements – no more than 1 x A4 page.
