Edinburgh Live Census – contribute to valuable survey
Edinburgh Live Music Census is a ground breaking piece of research being co-ordinated by The University of Edinburgh, with the co-operation of the City Council and the city’s music industry in response to the on-going concerns about the challenges facing Edinburgh’s live music venues.
The research will provide a unique opportunity for musicians, who work in the Edinburgh area, to help support the local music scene by gathering data about all of the live music activities taking place in the city.
This information will then be used to inform the city council’s cultural policy and illustrate the value of live music to the city.
It would be helpful if musicians who work in and around the Edinburgh area to take part in this valuable piece of research In order to help attain the most accurate and comprehensive results possible.
Further to this, there are additional opportunities to get involved in the data gathering and census taking process. If you are planning to either perform or attend any live music gigs in Edinburgh over the weekend of 5th – 7th June and would be able to assist in the data gathering process please email Dr. Adam Behr.
