Job Opportunities at the Scottish Storytelling Centre
Applications are now open for two new positions at the Scottish Storytelling Centre: Administration and Development Officer and Retail and Box Office Supervisor.
The Scottish Storytelling Centre is a vibrant arts venue with year-round, seasonal programming of live storytelling, theatre, music, exhibitions, workshops, family events and festivals. It’s a busy environment with lots going on and a small team of dedicated staff who present a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for Scotland’s reidents and visitors to Edinburgh.
Administration and Development Officer
The Scottish Storytelling Centre is currently looking to recruit a skilled and experienced administrator to work as part of the team to help identify areas of potential growth and improvement for the Scottish Storytelling Centre and the service it offers.
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate having worked in a busy administration role, showing strong attention to detail and with a readiness to use your initiative. You should be organised and able to use multiple IT systems at a strong level to assist your work. You will be experienced at coordinating events and have knowledge of issues faced by people who may have additional access needs, presenting a can-do and positive approach to your work.
This is a fixed-term post for 1 year. You will work 35 hours per week on a flexible rota, including evenings and weekends.

Retail and Box Office Supervisor
You will play a pivotal role within the Scottish Storytelling Centre team through overseeing and managing the retail and box office aspects of the Centre with a small team of permanent and temporary staff to ensure the provision of outstanding customer service for visitors to the Centre.
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will be highly organised and a strong team-player who will be able to demonstrate a flexible and adaptable approach to your work in order to meet the daily demands presented. Numeracy and the ability to pay close attention to detail are essential along with a good level of IT skills.
This is a 1 year fixed-term post. You will work 35 hours per week on a flexible rota which will include evenings and weekends.
