Job Opportunity: TRACS Marketing & Communications Development Officer

Marketing and Communications Development Officer – TRACS

TRACS (Traditional Arts and Culture Scotland) is Scotland’s umbrella body for the cohesion and promotion of the traditional arts – storytelling, music and dance. With a new vision unfolding, this is an exciting time to join our team and make a significant impact on shaping and developing the communications landscape for Scotland’s traditional arts hub.

We are seeking a proactive, creative, committed and enthusiastic individual to assist the Marketing and Communications Manager in carrying out a range of marketing and communications tasks.

You will be the main point of contact for digital communications through the coordinators of the three forums; ensuring information is readily available to partners, PR and potential audiences on their behalf.

Creative with a sound knowledge and interest in the rich tapestry of Scotland’s traditional arts scene, you will be an excellent communicator with sound copywriting, editing and proofreading skills. Ideally you will have experience in a similar role with exposure to databases, social media, marketing e-tools and CMS.

A team player who can also work independently, you will have proven organisational and time management skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, with a varied and demanding workload.

Your aim must be to increase awareness, participation and overall attendance, as well as actively work to bring new and non-traditional audiences to TRACS.

This is a permanent post, with a one-year probationary review.

35 hours per week, Monday – Friday, with some evening and weekend work around events.

Closing Date for applications: Monday 29 January, 5pm
Late applications will not be accepted.

Interviews will be held on Wednesday 7 February at the Scottish Storytelling Centre (EH1 1SR)
