Scottish International Storytelling Festival

The Scottish International Storytelling Festival, organised by TRACS (Traditional Arts and Culture Scotland), is the world’s largest celebration of storytelling. Held each October since 1989, the Festival is inspired by the Scottish ceilidh tradition, a vibrant gathering of stories, music, songs, and shared experiences. The Festival offers a first-hand opportunity to experience Scotland’s living heritage. This year’s festival runs from 22 October – 1 November 2025, with the full programme released in September.
