Marion Kenny joins Dance Ihayami this Fringe
Storyteller and multi-instrumentalist Marion Kenny joins Scotland’s Indian dance company Dance Ihayami this August as part of Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Dance Ihayami, Scotland’s classical Indian dance company, presents extracts from its brand new work Silent Space, in which performers both instigate and respond to sound, and its absence, through movement, drawing deeply from the tradition of South Asian dance. Featuring Dance Ihayami’s ensemble of exceptional dancers and a Scotland-based flautist Marion Kenny, Silent Space is set to be an unforgettable spectacle of evocative rhythms, technical precision and striking geometry of Bharatanatyam.
