The Aberdeen International Youth Festival 2017 runs Summer Courses for young people from 31st July to 6th August.
The Young SC&T Traditional Music Course is aimed at children aged P4 – P7 and will help them to develop their repertoire in Scottish Traditional Music. To participate in this course, all young children must be able to play some simple tunes on their chosen instrument.
The AIYF Traditional Music School is open to young people aged 12-21 and will help them to explore traditional music with a contemporary twist. This course is building on the success from Ceol Mor, which has been run for the last decade with AIYF and is under the leadership of Sharon Hassan and the North East Folk Collective.
