The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS) is delighted to have joined forces with Celtic Connections and Glasgow UNESCO City of Music to be part of the 2018 festival and host the ‘Pedagogies, Practices and the Future of Folk Music in Higher Education Conference’ from 18 – 20 January 2018. This will bring together international musicians, practitioners and academics to take stock of the significant educational, professional and artistic developments which will affect the future of traditional music, and its teaching at the tertiary level.

We would be delighted if you were able to participate in the Conference in January 2018. The programme contains a diverse mix of keynote speakers, creative conversations with industry leaders, paper sessions and peer learning, as well as the opportunity to engage with fellow delegates at the conference Ceilidh, and see our students perform at the annual RCS Traditional Music Showcase.

Further details of the conference, as well as delegate options and how to book, can be found on-line here.
