Storytelling Centre nominated for Venue of the Year

The Scottish Storytelling Centre is delighted to announce that it has been nominated for Venue of the Year at the 13th MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards.

The full line-up of nominees were unveiled as organisers start the countdown to next month’s lavish live Gala Concert on Saturday 5 December 2015 at Dundee Caird Hall, where the winners will be unveiled.Traditional Art Award Nomination

Voting is now open for the general public to have their say on their favourite acts and organisations of the last 12 months who’ve showcased traditional music at its finest.

Staff at the Storytelling Centre were thrilled to be nominated in the Venue of the Year category, as the Centre strives to be a home for Scotland’s culture and showcase the best of tradition for a 21st century audience. Daniel Abercrombie, Programme and Events Manager at the Scottish Storytelling Centre stated:

We are delighted to be nominated for Venue of the Year at the Scots Trad Arts Music Awards 2015. This has been a remarkable year and we are thrilled to be recognised.

“We pride ourselves on providing a warm welcome alongside dynamic live experiences for fans of the Centre, and fans that have yet to find us. We couldn’t be more appreciative of the artists and promoters who provide wonderful content for us to host.
