Free Inclusive Dance Training @ Dance Base

Dance Base, Scotland’s National Centre for dance, is offering two inclusive dance training sessions for dance artists and schools teachers. These sessions have been designed to provide learners with the skills, knowledge and attributes to provide and have an insight into creative movement sessions for groups with diverse abilities. This will be delivered by Indepen-dance, an award winning inclusive dance company for disabled and non-disabled people.

Friday 1 February 13.30 – 15.30
This will be aimed at dance artists, who want to improve their current inclusive dance practice. Participants may have basic knowledge and want to deepen their learning with new choreographic tasks and movement ideas.

Friday 8 February 13.30 – 15.30
This will be aimed at school teachers with no or little experience of inclusive dance and will be a basic introduction to warm up exercises, creative tasks to stimulate movement and cool down exercises.
These training sessions will be practical, stimulating, physical and enjoyable with the emphasis on client relationship developed through the arts. The course will be a practical in nature and will be led by Indepen-dance.
