Opportunity for young Gaelic speaking performers

Opportunity for young Scottish performers: Musicians, Singers, Storytellers

Sabhal Mòr Ostaig & An Lòchran are seeking young Scottish performers to take part in a project between Scotland and Ireland in summer 2016. You will work with a group of fellow young people in Ireland to produce a performance for tour.

You will gain valuable experience of producing and performing with guidance from professionals in Scotland and Ireland.

You must be:

  • Aged 18-25
  • Resident in Scotland
  • Fluent in Scottish Gaelic
  • An able musician, singer, storyteller, actor or combination of these.
  • Free for performance development in Ireland in August 2016
  • Free for performances in September 2016

Expenses for trips to Ireland and performances will be covered and each performer will receive a small stipend for taking part.

Apply by 5pm on Thursday 21/7/16, with information about yourself and why you would like to take part, as well as details of your availability through August and September 2016. Please get in touch in advance if you have any questions.
