Social Enterprise at Princes Street Gardens

Social Enterprise: Social in the Gardens 2018

Edinburgh Social Enterprise are running Scotland’s only festival of Social Enterprise and are looking for performers to come and play!

Social enterprises are businesses which are set up to change the world. Like commercial businesses they aim to make a profit but it’s what they do with their profit that sets them apart – it’s not given to shareholders or taken out for individual use, its invested or donated to bring about some form of social benefit or impact.

Social enterprises exist in nearly every sector from consumer goods to healthcare, restaurants to creative agencies. They’re creating jobs and opportunities, often for people marginalised from the workforce, transforming communities and trying to create a fairer and more equitable society. They are delivering business for good and when they profit, society profits.

The Festival

Your Support

This year there’s a promise of even more stage time and a terrific sound system to party across two fantastic days.

Some performers are Social Enterprises; however, there is an open policy for other performers and musicians who support the ethos and ethics of what Social Enterprise does and they’d love you to join them!
