Sundown Song Nights – A new & unique series of gigs in Glasgow
On the 27th of November, a brand new and very unique series of gigs will be launched in the Glad Cafe in the south side of Glasgow.
‘Sundown Song Nights’ is a new series of gigs at the Glad Cafe hosted by Josie Duncan that explores the broadness within the term ‘folk song’ through solo sets in an intimate setting. Each show will see a more traditional folk singer paired with a less traditional folk singer. Serving music to sooth the soul, from Gaelic waltzes to bouncy Indie Bops. The event is supported by Scotland Live and 8 will run through out the year.
The launch night is this month at the Glad Cafe with Adam Ross/Randolph’s Leap from Nairn who describes his beautiful, funny and vulnerable songwriting style as ‘pop music for unpopular people’ and the pure, strong voiced Scots Singer Claire Hastings who is a truly wonderful story teller through song.
