Teacup Travels Finds A New Home in Edinburgh
The Popular CBeebies show, Teacup Travels, will have a display at the Scottish Storytelling Centre from 2pm on Monday 6th July until Friday 24th July, showcasing Great Aunt Lizzie’s collection of teacups and treasures
The spacious court of the Scottish Storytelling Centre will host Great Aunt Lizzie’s pride and joy: her elegant Georgian display cabinet containing well over fifty of her special teacups and the magical portal to the tales of derring-do and high adventure, as told and slightly embroidered by gregarious Great Aunt Lizzie.
Fans of the popular children’s TV show can have their photo taken with props from the series including the distinctive pith helmets that Charlotte and Elliot don when they set off on their adventures to lands of far away and long ago. Scottish visitors will feel extra homely warmth knowing the programme was filmed entirely in Edinburgh by Leith based Independent Film and TV Production Company Plum Films.
Apart from the exciting photo opportunity, young Teacup Travellers can create their own stories of high adventure on Teacup Travels maps and teacup print outs to take home with them. You can keep up to date with Plum Films on Twitter to find out if Charlotte and Elliot will make a guest appearance to sign autographs and pose for photos too!
So, if your little ones are fans of the show and would like to take a closer look at, head to the Scottish Storytelling Centre this July.
