Information about dates, venues, performers and how to book your tickets is available at

The TMSA Young Trad Tour project is supported by Creative Scotland, Perth’s Creative Communities Fund and Renfrewshire Council’s Culture, Events & Heritage Fund. Can’t make the performances? Why not buy their CD or ones from previous Tours’ and help support this project to continue.

Plus you might like to check out the semi-finalists who will be competing on Saturday 13 October at Coulter Hall (ML12 6PT) for a place at next year’s finals at Celtic Connections.

Also we’ve still got a couple of spaces for groups in our Sessions Project so if you could re-run the item below that would be much appreciated!

Some places are still available for young musicians to have the opportunity to grow a programme of traditional music sessions in their local area.

The Traditional Music & Song Association of Scotland (TMSA) is looking for groups of three individuals (aged 18-26) who can organise, promote and lead sessions between September-December 2018 in a local venue.

Thanks to funding from The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo Youth Talent Development Fund, which is being administered by Creative Scotland, musicians will receive financial support to host approximately ten sessions in their area as well as a bursary to participate in training with leading musicians in the field.

We are also happy to hear from any venues or groups that would like to support a trio of young people in a local session programme.

Apply as soon as possible through the dedicated project website – before all the places get taken up!
